Day 6: Port Clinton to Curtice

The day starts with a hearty breakfast at the Second Street Diner. From there we head to the Little Portage Wildlife Area, a marsh and wetlands area facing the Portage River to the North and the little Portage River to the West. We then head back to Port Clinton and get on Lakeshore Drive, which follows Lake Erie before heading several miles inland. We stop at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, a 2,2o2-acre marsh complex inhabited by large numbers of waterfowl, waterbirds, shorebirds and songbirds. Our lodging choice for the evening is the Lake Erie Lodge (left). We have drinks and dinner at the Barnacle, which is located within the Lodge.
