From Bayview, we head across Sandusky Bay to Ohio’s northern peninsula. We head east along the water until we reach Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve, which is home to Ohio’s rarest wildflower, the bright yellow Lakeside daisy. We then head to the nearby Marblehead Lighthouse State Park, which overlooks Cedar Point to the Southeast. Our next stop is East Harbor State Park, followed by Catawba Island State Park (left). We then head to Port Clinton, where our lodging choice for the night is the Lakeland Motel, which over looks the Lake Erie inlet. After checking in, we walk to the nearby Traveler’s Bar & Grill, known for its perch and walleye.
